HALLOWEEN 2013

Hi readers!

What are you going for as Halloween starts tomorrow? I went as Mother Nature for a few parties already and had a different reaction to a my costume. I had some random stranger at Mini Bar come up to me and tell me he didn't agree with my FAUX fur coat for my costume. I told him it wasn't real fur and that I didn't see what his problem was since FAUX fur is made out of fine acrylic fibers with no actual animal hair in it. To each their own I guess.. (BTW-I built my leaf head dress from Dollar Tree Silk Flowers if you were wondering and my dress is Laundry by Shelli Segal from 1/2 of 1/2 store)

SO I am thinking about wearing something else tomorrow to the other Halloween parties my friends are throwing. Here are a few pictures from my costume and a few fun pictures from an advertising party I went to with friends a couple of weeks ago. I will have a lot of nice posts coming up soon and have a ton of photo editing to work on tonight. Yea for large glasses of wine and watching Hocus Pocus on Netflix. Am I right? Rebecca Minkoff-Halls KC Event

Below is the official event that I went to at Halls last week. I had such a fun time with my husband and look forward to more fashionable events in Kansas City. I hope you enjoy the photos from that night. I wore a BCBG pink silk dress, shoes were from Windor, and my purse is a vintage Dooney and Bourke leather bag.

Designer Rebecca Minkoff to Appear at Halls’ It’s a Girl Thing Event – Oct. 3

Halls will host its bi-annual It’s a Girl Thing event on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at the Plaza location – and we can now announce that designer Rebecca Minkoff will be our special guest that evening from 6 to 8!

As usual, the evening will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks and LOTS of great new fall merchandise. This year, we will create the World of Rebecca Minkoff featuring Rebecca’s 2013 fall collection handbags, ready-to-wear apparel, shoes, jewelry and sunglasses. It’s going to be amazing!

Clinton Lake-Beach Day

Hello readers,

The other weekend we went to Clinton Lake with a few friends. It was a spontaneous moment where we wanted to enjoy the summer and the beach for a bit longer. Rob and I were already missing LA so if we could go to a fake beach to pretend we were still in LA why not? Note to readers: Clinton Lake did have that squishy lake feeling so it WAS NOT A BEACH. (I think I felt a fish nibble my toe too so THAT was fun)

We went shopping in Lawrence at The Hyvee and purchased way too much food for just five people. We have gotten a littler wiser lately, instead of eating it all for lunch, we decided to grill out for dinner too. We ate, swam, played freakin' hot sand volleyball, had a few beers, had a few more beers, drank water, rinsed off, and got home before sundown. It was a really nice trip and I'm glad we have spontaneous friends.
