Elie Saab-Halle Berry 2002 Oscars

Wednesday, March 6, 2013

Today I was feeling nostalgic of Halle Berry's Oscar 2002 fashion. Do you remember this dress? It took my breathe away watching her wear it to the Oscars; I was a junior in high school at the time. What a bewitching dress that only Halle Berry could look better than the actual runway model who originally wore the dress. I watched the Elie Saab Fashion show live today and what I wouldn't give to attend one of these fashion shows in person. Here are some of my favorite dresses from the past Elie Saab Collections. Tomorrow I will post original photos of The Tintype Party I attended last weekend. It was amazing!

Where Did I Put My Oscar?

The Oscars,

Ok, one thing you need to know about me is my LOVE for all things funny. Favorite funny bits of The Oscars were Seth Macfarlane hosting, Melissa Mccarthy presenting, and Daniel Day Lewis's acceptance speech. My friend's and I went to a free Oscar Party at The Screenland off of Armour in North Kansas City Oscar Event and we had an amazing time. It was amazing to watch The Oscars on the Big Screen and I think it was my favorite Oscar show thus far.  PS-How amazing was Adele?

Favorite Seth Macfarlane jokes of the night:

[On Daniel Day-Lewis's role as Abraham LIncoln]. You stayed in character all day, every day. So if you saw a cell phone, would you have to be like, "Oh my god! What's that?!" If you bumped into Don Cheadle on the studio lot, would you have to free him?

Whether [Jennifer Lawrence] wins or loses, it's just an honor Meryl Streep wasn't nominated.

"Amour" is nominated. Or as I call it, "This is Ninety."

Here are a couple of fun shots from the night that I took and a couple of the actual Oscars that I didn't take :)

Valentine's Day-Date Night

Friday, February 15, 2013

Morning friends,

So last night's Valentine's Day 2013 was full of cheddar biscuits, the 30th Anniversary of Lobsterfest at Red Lobster dinner with thirteen of my friends was a success. It paid to call ahead because I haven't seen that many teenagers trying to eat somewhere since high school prom. Poor souls, they don't know it is smart to call ahead and they ended up waiting FOREVER to get lobster. I wore my prom dress from 2002 to Red Lobster too and loved every second of it. I wore it with my boyfriend at the time in 2002 to prom and we got in a huge fight so that dress deserved a better memory. My husband hadn't seen me in that dress and appreciated it much more than any high school boy could. Here are a few snapshots from that night and I forgot to take a picture of my super pretty make-up. Dangit.
