Bike Share Kansas City Featured in: The Pitch KC

Thursday, June 5, 2014

Hi readers!

Just a little blog post of my new advertisement I was featured in for Bike Share Kansas City http://bikesharekc.com To read a little more about this organization look to the website and read below. My friend wanted my husband and I to pose for a few shots for their campaign which we were happy to oblige. Can't wait to see the rest of them and I'll edit + post more photos when I receive them.

Kansas City B-Cycle powered by Blue KC is a partnership between BikeWalkKC and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. It is owned and operated by Bike Share KC, a 501(c)3 Missouri nonprofit corporation. We are the country's only advocate-owned bike share system.

Bike sharing is designed for short trips in the city. It is a fun and convenient way to experience everything our city has to offer, transforming the city into a healthier, more livable, and economically competitive place to live, work, and play.

Visit my friend Zach Bauman's photography website to see more of his delicious photograph portfolio and go to The Pitch Kansas City to read more of their great articles in this months issue.

Middle of the Map Festival 2014

Thursday, May 29, 2014

Readers!

So one of my absolute favorite things about Kansas City is Middle of the Map Festival. My great friends Nathan Reusch and Chris Haghirian started this festival and it has been going strong for a couple of years. This year was my first time at SXSW but I have to say I enjoyed MOTMfest much more. One of my favorite bands Big Black Delta performed and I turned into a 14 year old girl screaming/singing to every Big Black Delta song. Yes, I totally was "THAT GIRL." I hope that MOTM keeps its local vibe while still maintain all the big acts it needs to pull in each year to make a good investment.

I have more photos of the event to post but wanted to get started on a series of three blog posts dedicated to that fun day. I meant to document more of my outfits I wore around Westport to the concerts but I was having too much fun getting into trouble. Enjoy this post for now until post two and three make their appearance. Thanks for continuing to follow my blog. I truly appreciate you.

See what bands performed:

PS-aren't you obbssed with my friends Boston Terrier purse like I am? Perhaps it's because I own one too.

Professional Fashion Shoot-53tom.com / Zach Bauman Behind the Scenes Fashion Shoot

Monday, April 14, 2014

Readers!

Here is a sneak peak of my first professional fashion shoot with www.53tom.com
My friend at Zach Bauman at http://www.zachbphotography.com helped take a few of the behind the scene photographs for me yesterday. I had NO idea how much work modeling was! I was wearing this heavy fabric, trying to focus on making a pretty face, and moving the fabric to take a pretty shot. It was nuts! SO excited to see the finished photographs and to share them with you all! Stayed tuned for a FULL post soon. The fashion concept was moving fabric and my version of the "little black dress."

Bday Parties 2014

Friday, March 21, 2014

Happy Birthday,

Taking photos is tough enough but constantly uploading them to a blog is hard enough. I have SO many photos to show you and I'm sorry I haven't done a better job uploading them. I am still in the process of choosing the right template for my blog/webpage and should be done with a layout shortly. Don't be mad when you see the change in layout but rejoice with me for the subtle changes in JADATO. I've been a little MIA because I went to SXSW for vacation and decided to chill out with the postings. I need a vacation. Don't we all?

I read a post lately from another blogger about how she hopes you realize what you read/see on a blog is the edited version. Boy is that the truth. I feel I can only be true to myself and you if I really post me; if that includes the good and the bad photos so be it. So here to being my true self. Those that don't know me reading this in other countries or in my hometown of Kansas City should know I am a complete goofball. Not cool at all but I do hang around cooler people than myself to you know "FEEL COOL." I think the friends we choose are the ones that inspire us daily through all the muck life throws at us.

I love my hometown Kansas City. I toyed around with the idea of moving to a bigger city but really I am in the best developing city in the US. (My opinion of course) My friends are the movers and the shakers of Kansas City. The beat, the fashion, the cuisine, hell the true HEART of a city. Why should I move during all this lovely commotion? Enjoy a few photos from my close friend Sarah Nelsen. She is that fashion part of KC I am lucky to watch develop. Only great things can come from her and she moved back to KC. See, it's where those movers and shakers need to let our hair down. Come join us!

(My dress is Urban Outfitters, necklace thrifted, huge black puffy coat Steve Madden, and polka dot purse Kate Spade)
